one concern about this class are the amount of reading and deadlines which are given, i feel lik i may forget unless reminded constantly. My expectations are that i hope to do well and get good grades. I'm anxious about going to all the field trips!! My biggest obstacle i think would be the projects because i'm not to good with making things. My favorite unit umm i don't know yet but we'll see.

In this class, I'm looking forward to learning about some of the environmental problems that are happening. I'm anxious about the work load that kind of got thrown on us today. I think that managing all of the work from all of my classes will be one obstacle in this class, but I think if I plan everything out and set a comfortable pace, I should be fine. I think that my favorite unit will be Aquatic Ecology because I think that water and what we use it for is interesting and I think it will be a smooth unit to learn.

one concern about this class is the projects i feel that they may be a problem for me. My expectations are to try my best and succeed in your class. I am excited about all the trips that you have planned. My biggest obstacle will probably be putting the projects together. and my favorite unit is idk yet we will soon find out.

One concerns i have about the class is that im not creative and all and im very use to construction paper workfor my projects. My expectations for the class is that i can learn only not using paper and pencil, but also hands on activities. I am very excited for all the labs and group work you have planned and also i am keeping my fingers crossed for that grant for the field trips; I haven't been on any class trips since 4th grade.My biggest obstacle for the class will probably be the whole creative deal with the projects . Finally my favorite unit will probably be a unit on evolution and prehistoric stuff.

I believe that as long as I understand what you're saying an understnad the unit I won't have any problems. I think that the evolution an eviromental help parts will intrest me. Thank you for explaining everything to us in class to day. :D

I'm Just Concerened about the work load that will be given and if i will be able to finish it acuratley due to all my other classes. I Expect a lot out of myself so if i get frustrated it's due to the fact that i am not able to get something. I Am Looking forward to the labs, and the feild trips which i will enjoy :). I am VERY Anxious about the AP Exam , it's worrying me. My Biggest obstcale is going to be time management and i will try to over come it by making sure everything is done in time for me to get enough sleep. I Think my favorite unit will be Risk, Toxicology, and Human Health because i like to learn about how things affect us humans and how we can change that to be better. . .i look forward to being in this class : D

In this class I hope to become an expert by the time the year is over. I feel as though this is an execellnt opportunity and am grateful that I get the chance to participate in this course. I am a little concerned about the work interfering with other classes but this just means that I have to do it ahead of time. I also in the future will be able to answer those questions that people want o know about the earth.

I expect this course to be fun, but alot of work. Im looking foward to participate in the many lab activities to come this nine weeks. Im anxious about the feild trips and the hands on activies we will be doing. My biggest obstical will be turning in all my work in on time, and reciving and A. I plan on acheving these goals by working hard and not being procrasting. Unit 11 might end up being my favorite unit because of the feild trips and all the labs about energy efficiency and renewable energy. My opinion is that we sould all conside the fact and procedure of going GREEN, in order to save our earth and ourself.

I dont really have any concerns for this class except some of the work interferring with my sports. I think i can do it though. I am looking foward to the class trips and receiving more volenteer hours. My favorite until will probably be learing about the different things that pollute our earth because it would help acheive my goals of being more helpful to the environment.

I am really looking forward to hands-on activities. I realize this is an AP class and requires effort but ifeel like this may be fun. I am a guy with many questions so just please bear with me. I do agree with Jose, deadlines and i are not good friends unless reminded. For the most part I can see myself really enjoying this class.

My concerns for this class are that work, as far as being able to get it all finished by the due date and actually understand it all. Also the projects. They have never been my strong suite since i have absolutely no creativity. Im looking forward to learning about the envirnment not just through pen and paper work but also hands on activities. Also the field trips! I am anxious about the work load. I think i can handle it! My biggest obstacle is homework. I tend to procrastinate, but in order to overcome that i know i just need to stay focused. Im not sure what my favorite unit will be, im interested in learning them all!

Thank you all for your diligence in completing your first blogging assignment. I would like to start by saying that after spending 1 day at NEHS, I am absolutely sure that I made a good decision in transferring here to teach. The students that I have encountered are bright, respectful and enthusiastic. I am excited about getting to know each of you and to a terrific school year.

After reading your posts I see that many of you have some very valid concerns about the class. We will discuss these at length today and hopefully be able to alleviate some of your stress. I am here as your teacher to help you be successful! Please come and see me, email me or call, if necessary at any time that I can be of assistance.

I realize the enormity of the content that we must cover by May, but I have no doubt that we will cover everything and have time to review at the end.

All I ask at this point is that you give this class your best effort! Maintain a good and positive attitude and let's develop some time management tools to help you succeed.

I have spoken to all of your previous science teachers. They speak highly of each and every one of you. They assure me that each of you is up to the challenge of AP work and that I should expect nothing but the best from you. One thing that I did hear quite a few times is that some of you "tend to be lazy". Hopefully I am going to be able to teach you all how to be self-motivators and how to develop strong time management skills.
